>> THE HONEY COLLECTION <<

The Honey Jewelry Collection was created as a subtle expression to remain mindful of the incredibly vital role that honeybees play in our Earth's ecosystem. We tip our hat to these small yet highly industrious creatures who pollinate in perfect harmony with nature, while simultaneously making honey to nourish their hives within the sacred geometry of the honeycomb. As honeybee populations are declining throughout the world, our daily conscious choices add up collectively to make a positive difference in protecting them.

Whichever piece speaks to you in this wearable collection, may it spark conversations about honeybees, conservation and responsible stewardship of this magnificent Earth for the next seven generations and beyond.

A note about the metals we use in the Honey Collection…

What is 14K Gold-Filled?

“Gold-filled” is a USA industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight.  It’s a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14k gold with extreme heat over a core of high quality jeweler’s brass resulting in a durable, quality real gold product. The 14k gold that’s on the outside of gold-filled is the same gold as you would get from a solid 14k piece. The 5% gold in gold-filled jewelry may not sound like a lot, but it’s all on the outside layer and it's plenty to keep your jewelry looking great for many years.

You might be wondering the difference between "14K rose gold-filled” and “14K yellow gold-filled”. The only difference is in the color of the gold, not in the quality or durability.  Both 14K yellow gold and 14K rose gold alloys contain the same amount of 14-karat solid gold.  It’s the combination of metals that are added to the pure 24k gold that changes the color.

Why is gold-filled better than gold plating?

Modern gold plating, called gold electroplating, relies on a chemical process to combine various layers of metal into a solid piece with a layer of gold resting on the surface. While the standards for 14k gold-filled are strictly regulated, the standards for gold plated encompass a broad range of thicknesses which are much much thinner than gold-filled, thus you can't be sure how much gold is in the plated layer. And because this top plated layer is so thin, gold plating can be worn off in just a few months of normal use and wear.

We choose to use only Gold-Filled metals in our jewelry collection as it offers the beauty and longevity of real gold that can last as long as solid gold if cared for properly at a very reasonable price.

What is Argentium Silver?

Made with a touch of germanium, Argentium® Silver presents a bright white color that is closer to fine silver than traditional sterling. Traditional sterling silver is 92.5% silver whereas Argentium is 93.5% silver. All Argentium is made from reclaimed silver and its sources are guaranteed by Argentium International Ltd. Argentium is a great value, offering a brighter-white silver that resists tarnishing and keeps on shining.
